About us
Why Sunflower?
Plenty of providers can fill a shift. Here's what makes us different.
Support that actually listens.
Our support workers are kind, genuinely caring, and they explain things clearly. We listen to what you want, and when something is not working, we work with you to move forward.
Real understanding, not a script.
We're neurodivergent-led, with deep experience in the autism and ADHD space, and we shape support around how each person communicates and experiences the world.
The areas we know best.
Our experience runs deepest in neurodiversity (autism and ADHD), mental health, complex health needs, and compassionate support for people living with terminal illness. We support people aged 2 to 77, children and adults, each as an individual.
Skilled workers, trained around you.
Our support workers hold the required qualifications and screening checks. Because no two people need the same thing, we can train workers specifically for your supports so your support fits you.
Led by lived and professional experience.
Sunflower is founded by someone who brings sixteen years in policing, neurodiversity leadership, and work across disability, youth and community services, alongside lived experience as a neurodivergent parent.
Simple on funding.
If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you can choose Sunflower. If it's NDIA-managed, you'll need a registered provider, and we'll happily point you in the right direction.
Where we work.
Across Canberra, the ACT and surrounds, and the Redlands area of Queensland, with more of QLD to come as we grow.
